Google Nexus S might well go on to break all records and emerge as one of the top Android phones of 2011 because this is the first handset to run on Android’s latest OS, Gingerbread. The phone’s 1GHz Cortex A8 (Hummingbird) processor along with support for Near Field Communication (NFC) makes it one of the top Android phones of 2010-11.
The aforementioned list gives you a peek into the Android handset market and how it is shaping up for the future. Several other Android handsets will be launched in 2011 which will further spur competition in the Android segment.
